I am currently enrolled in the Associate Degree program for Medical Office Administration and will also double major in Office Systems Technology. I will graduate in May 2010 and will be actively pursuing a job in the medical field at that time. I am a very dependable person who puts a lot of effort into my work. I try my very hardest to accomplish every task that crosses my path. Some of my skills include, being able to efficiently keyboard data into text documents at 55-60 words a minute, being proficient in Microsoft Word 2007, and having knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007 (Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Along with the above skills, I have a 99% rate of accuracy in Medical Terminology, Medical Transcription, and Medical Billing & Coding (CPT and ICD-9). In my course of study for the past 2 years, I have also taken classes involving text editing, professional development, computer skills, data entry and formatting, medical legal issues, and medical office simulation.

I not only feel that my skills are more than efficient for a job in the medical office, I feel that my enjoyment of the medical field is also essential to the job. I enjoy what I do to the fullest of my ability. I enjoy medical transcription and medical billing & coding the most. I am good with face-to-face interaction and am able to complete task in a timely manner. I have a very impressionable attitude and communication skills along with a never give up spirit, which I believe is going to take me to the top in the career choice that I have made.
